Code of Conduct*

All attendees, speakers and organisers at our conference are required to comply with the following code of conduct. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environment for everybody. Respectful discussion and debate are welcome --  criticize ideas, not individuals.

The Galactic Bars Conference 2023 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of sex, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, neurodiversity, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, social events and online media.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to sex, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the scientific organisers, the chairs of the LOC (http://www.galacticbars2023.com/organising_committee), or send an email to galacticbars2023@gmail.com.
